- How do I become a traveling nurse with CNS?
- First, select the posting you are interested in and fill out our easy online application, otherwise, access our site and fill out the application.
- Next, complete the skills checklist we will send you, pertaining to your nursing specialty
- Complete the “Employee File Checklist” you downloaded from our site, which highlights any additional travel nursing documentation we require for credentialing
- CNS will assist you in obtaining drug screening and required immunizations, all paid for by CNS.
- If you did not apply for a specific posting, contact us, choose where you want to travel, and our recruiters will find your assignment.
- Call a CNS Travel coordinator with any questions at 888.267.3678. We are anxious to work with you! We can also send a packet if you desire by e-mail @ travel@cnsnursing.com or contact us via fax at 888.584.8081.
- How much experience do I need to travel with CNS?
You need to have one year of experience in your area of specialty since we work with the top facilities in the nation.
- Can I work Per Diem with CNS if I am a traveler?
Absolutely! As long as you have completed your required hours at your travel facility, with CNS we offer Per Diem opportunities in facilities throughout Arizona.
- What happens once I apply?
- CNS will process your application.
- CNS will contact you via email or your preference, for any additional documentation,
- Submit your profile to the top facilities in your specified state(s)
- Obtain confirmation from the facility that interviewed you
- Contact you to see if you would like to accept the assignment.
- Send you for a drug screen, set up housing, if that is your choice and obtain orientation date
- Am I committed to CNS once I complete my application?
Absolutely not! You are a professional with your choice of assignment. CNS simply presents you with the opportunity to choose the assignment that suits you best, in the location you desire. CNS recruiters are here to provide you with choices and the tools to make the best choice for yourself.
- How long are CNS Travel contracts?
The industry standard for travel assignments is 13 weeks. At CNS we will strive to accommodate your needs, be it 13 weeks, or a 4, 8, or 26-week assignment.
- Can I bring my family with me?

- Does CNS offer completion bonuses?
